Support Peter Zorbas' Recovery Journey
Donation protected
My name is Gus Sverkos and I am here to help a very good friend of mine.
7 years ago, Peter Zorbas was hurt on the job and suffered a broken foot and torn ligaments. After a botched surgery, his foot never recovered. Eventually, he developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). CRPS is a horrible disease; it's an untreatable condition in which a person experiences persistent and severe pain, usually in one of their arms or legs. It can sometimes affect other parts of the body. It is poorly understood, and the causes of CRPS aren't well known either. Peter has never been able to get back to work because of his injury.
His foot continued to get worse over the years, and because it basically has died, he had to amputate his leg on Monday, November 11th. The amputation was a direct result of his botched surgery, but unfortunately, his statute of limitations is up on medical malpractice, and he has no other options.
If getting an amputation of your leg is not bad enough, Peter also has kidney cancer. He will be removing his kidney after he recovers from the amputation surgery. Fortunately, his cancer has not spread, but the immediate removal of his kidney is necessary to save his life.
I am hoping to raise $10,000 to give Peter a little breathing room with all his medical and living expenses. If you have any spare change to donate, we would really appreciate it.
