My incredible in-laws, Peter and Nora Moore, have lost everything they own due to the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene. Their home in Aripeka, FL was engulfed by an estimated 6 feet of water, leaving everything completely destroyed. When they returned after evacuating, they were heartbroken to find their house filled with seagrass and salty mud. The walls are crumbling, the floors are ruined, and their belongings are unrecognizable.

For those who know Nora, you’ll understand how deeply she cherishes her collection of antiques, family heirlooms, and irreplaceable mementos—all of which are now unsalvageable. While we are beyond grateful that they are safe, the level of devastation they face is unimaginable.

With their home uninhabitable for months, they are left with nothing. Rebuilding their lives will take time, effort, and resources—things that are overwhelming in a moment like this.
