Help Pete Colasanto's Family with Medical Bills

Pete Colasanto was born in Alexandria, VA in 1946.

His first job in the pool industry was being the “hot pool boy” at the private residences of several well known families, including the Kennedys and the Fords.

Later he worked for National Construction Company, where he was part of the crew that built the outdoor pool at the White House.

In 1980, Atlantic Pools asked Pete to move to Virginia Beach for his expertise in building inground vinyl pools.

In 1982, he started his own company, Neptune Pools. The last pool Pete built was in his own backyard and, at the time, was the largest non-commercial pool in Virginia Beach. The final touch was the addition of the King slide that sat atop Atlantic Pools, which he had bartered for.

After closing Neptune Pools, Pete dabbled in various business ventures until 2000, when he was offered a position with Aqua Leisure Pools. The majority of the last 24 years were spent managing the General Booth store where he really enjoyed serving his community and regularly spoke about how much he enjoyed the people he worked with.

For the last two years, Pete helped manage the Great Bridge store for Aqua Leisure Pools, where he quickly built up a new clientele. Those at the Great Bridge location loved Pete and greatly appreciated the opportunity to work with him.

Pete was deeply beloved among his customers and colleagues in the pool industry. He always went above and beyond to assist everyone with their unique needs, always willing to help those less experienced brainstorm solutions to any challenges they faced on their individual projects.

Recently, Pete underwent surgery that resulted in complications, requiring an extended hospital stay and ongoing medical tests and treatments. On December 18th, Pete passed surrounded by his three children.
