Pete Aviles has been a paraplegic for the last 20 years, yet his spirit and dedication to helping others have never wavered. For the past five years, I have had the privilege of knowing Pete and witnessing firsthand the profound impact he has on so many lives. Pete is a natural medicine man who serves multiple communities in a myriad of ways. He offers sound healing, works with plant medicine to help people heal from developmental, psychological, and karmic wounds, and founded Mobile Minds—an online platform providing safe, personalized plant medicine retreats for the disabled. He also volunteers his time to teach a weekly sacred geometry class for children ages 6-13, reaching communities from a rural Mexican village to the disabled community around the world.
Now, Pete needs our help. He was supposed to receive a critical surgery seven years ago, but due to circumstances beyond his control, it never happened. Pete can no longer wait for this procedure—his health and livelihood are at risk. The funds raised will cover pre-op imaging, surgery, post-op care and medications, income lost during recovery, and any unexpected medical expenses that arise. Supporting Pete means ensuring that his vital healing work can continue, touching the lives of children, paraplegics, and those seeking recovery from addiction through Ibogaine plant medicine.
Donations make it possible for Pete’s great work to go on. His gentle generosity and dogged diligence have shown me what true service means. As Martin Luther King, Jr. said, 'Everyone can be great. Because everyone can serve.' Each donor in this fundraiser has the opportunity to be great by supporting Pete in his service. Your support, in any amount, will make a real difference. Thank you for helping Pete continue to serve and heal our communities.
