Support Pete and help Kass during Petes recovery

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Scott and im here to raise funds to help support Kass, Pete and family during this terrible time of Petes journey to recovery!

Pete is a loving dad of 2 beautiful children, Evie (5) and Toby (1) and doting Husband to Kashmir.

On Sunday, 21 November, Pete and I set off riding like we did on any other weekend together. Sadly, we hadn't even got 2 minutes into our ride to Hattah when tragedy hit.

Leading the ride, I passed another rider and alerted him to 1 more rider behind me.. Unfortunately, with a slight hill on the horizon, Pete and the other rider didn't have time to see each other coming. I looked back for Pete and could see what had taken place.

I did what I could to help both Pete and the other rider who were both lying there unconscious. I flagged down by passers on the highway and rendered emergency assistance. In what felt like a lifetime, I continued to talk to both riders so they knew they weren't alone, and did what I could to keep them both comfortable until the ambulance finally arrived and worked quickly on them both.

Pete was taken by ambulance to Mildura Base Hospital and placed into ICU.

After being stabilised, Pete was then airlifted to The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne where he continues to be in ICU in an induced coma.

Sadly for Kass, and Pete's Mum & Dad, they made the 6 hour drive down to Melbourne during the night to be by Petes beside only to turn up to the hospital at 5.30am and were turned away being told they can't see him. Here is a Mother and Wife who doesn't know if her Husband will make it and has left her 2 young kids at home to be with him being told you can't see him. After hours of sitting in the car outside the hospital, they made the tough decision to travel back to Mildura to be with the kids. Not having checked in to there accommodation yet, they rang to explain the situation and cancel there stay only to be told they couldn't get a refund. It has been blow after blow!!

Pete underwent emergency surgery once he arrived in Melbourne to release pressure on his brain and have a monitor put in place. With multiple breaks and fractures in both arms, both legs, ribs, collar bone and jaw, the long journey begins. In the 24hrs since being in Melbourne, Pete has undergone surgery on his right leg, having pins and plates put in place and surgery on his right arm to fix the breaks and tendon damage. He has a long road of surgeries ahead of him.

While Pete is receiving the best care possible, sadly for Kass, Evie and Toby, they are unable to see Pete due to hospital covid restrictions. For Kass and the kids, this means they do not know when they will see their Husband and Dad again. Stuck here in Mildura feeling helpless, Kass continues to have household bills rolling in and medical expenses pilling up each day!

While we can't physically help Pete or Kass, we can be there to support her emotionally by checking in and financially by donating what we can!

This is going to be a long road for the Jacobson family. Please, dig deep and help Kass continue paying bills so Pete can continue receiving the best care and recover fully.

We love you Pete, Kass, Evie and Toby.

Pete, you've got this! Keep fighting brother.
