Support Petaki's Journey to Recovery

Donation protected
Who at the age of 45 has a brain bleed, is diagnosed with a rare brain malformation called a cavernoma, and gets diagnosed with endometrial cancer all in one year (2024)? My mom, Petaki Cobell, is the strongest woman I know. Now cancer free, she has flown to Arizona from Washington state to undergo brain surgery to remove a rare brain malformation called a cavernoma. This cavernoma has successfully been removed from her thalamus, but not without complications.

My mom needs intense rehabilitation which is very costly. Petaki is resilient. She loves to travel, try new foods, go to the beach, watch the sunset, and go to the movies. Family is very important to her and we are doing everything we can to support her in the ways she needs. In just one week since her surgery, she has began talking again, can move her left hand, and is beginning to move her left foot. Within two weeks, her feeding tube is fully removed and can now eat food again. Although resilient, she needs our help right now to get strong again so she can go back to being fully independent. A mother, daughter, friend, aunt, and leader, Petaki has helped so many others and now it is time for us to help her. Any amount is helpful and greatly appreciated. We appreciate any help you can give so that we can get her in to the best rehab facility close to home, near family so she can heal.
