Hey friends. My stepdad Perry Wong was admitted to Urgent Care on December 22, 2025, and has remained hospitalized ever since. What started as intense pneumonia has now led to kidney failure, and Perry has spent the last several weeks in the ICU. For two weeks, he was in an induced coma, and this past week he has been in and out of consciousness. He recently had a tracheotomy to help his body receive oxygen, and the recovery period ahead is still going to be a long road.

Perry has always been a very active person, working at two gyms as a personal trainer. He’s known for his humor and for always being there to help others, so this sudden turn of events has come as a shock to all of us. The holidays have been especially stressful for our family. My mom has been by his side for 19 years, and I can’t even express the toll this has taken on her and my sister. When Perry is able to leave the hospital, he will likely need in-home care or an assisted living facility until he regains enough strength to return home.
