Support Perry Miller's Road to Recovery

Dear friends, family, and colleagues,

I am reaching out to you and asking for your support for my mother, Perry Miller.

If you know Perry then you know that she is the strongest, most selfless, hardworking woman that you've ever met. Her 21 years in working at Funimation/Crunchyroll shows the dedication she puts forth in being the best worker and co-worker that she strives to be. Perry has always placed others needs before her own ensuring everyone around her are happy and well-cared for. Even with the demands of her job, she NEVER hesitates to lend a helping hand.

Perry had to have surgery on Wednesday, May 15th. She then suffered a medical emergency, from complications following her surgery, on Saturday, May 18th. She is currently in the hospital due to a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack) and low metabolic levels. Thankfully, her CT and MRI scans showed no signs of brain damage. However, this has caused her to have speech and muscle-like deficits that will require different types of therapy over the next 3-6 months.

We are looking into different inpatient rehabilitation centers and hopefully we can get her admitted within the next couple of days. As far as we know right now, she will need speech, physical and occupational therapy. I will be visiting her if not every day, every other day, being her biggest support in this. I want to make sure she is most comfortable wherever she goes and getting all the encouragement that she can.

In the midst of everything that is happening medically, she is set to move from Flower Mound to Little Elm in the next month. She will be living across the street from Jason and I and we are so excited. We already have movers and packers set up to be at her home. She won't be able to go back to her current home. I want to make sure that everything is unpacked and she has all of her necessities ready to go when she is able to move into her new home. She will get to spend a lot of time with the girls which will be great during her recovery. There's nothing she loves more in this world than Hayden, Eilyn, and Ettalie. We will be able to help her out as much as we possibly can WHEN she is discharged from inpatient services and can come home.

Due to these unforeseen circumstances, she will be out of work for quite a while. We want her to recover to 100% before having to worry about anything other than getting herself healthy. Perry is very weak and needs our support in helping her get to where she needs to be. We have all seen the love that Perry spreads and I'm hoping that we can all show her that very same love.

She has had MRI's, CT scans, a dozen tests, multiple hospital stays, and has already had some therapy sessions. She will have rehabilitation expenses, some medical equipment, and multiple doctor's visits. I'm also looking into different meal plans that will support her while going through this. I'm hoping we can alleviate some of her upcoming bills that she is going to have and her not have to worry about anything until her medical journey is over.

No amount is too small, and every bit of support is appreciated. If you are unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this campaign with your network. Your prayers and words of encouragement are also deeply appreciated.

Please let me know if you’d like to send a card and I can provide you with an address where it will be sent.

If you'd like to contribute in another way, please reach out to Myself or Jason and we will let you know how you can best support her.

Thank you all so much for being a stepping stone for my mom. I can't tell you how much it means to us.
