Support Perry Bennett's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
We’re going to start this off with a great big THANK YOU to everyone taking the time to support Perry Bennett.
My name is Evalin Oliver, and Perry is a loving boyfriend to my mother, Miss Lou, and an amazing fatherly figure to myself and my brother Evan. I’ve started this fundraiser because we’ve realized we need help from our community.
Perry lives off-grid in the U.P. of Michigan alongside Miss Lou, where they run a food truck, Nacho Tacos, and overall prepare for the seasons ahead. With Michigan’s abundance of snow, living off-grid can be dangerous during the winter, and unfortunately, this was one of those days.
Perry was recently hospitalized after being thrown from his snowmobile. Upon arriving at the hospital, he required emergency surgery on his gut. The doctors discovered his intestines twisted under his hernia, which led to dead intestinal tissue that had to be removed and measured to be over a foot long. Before he had the chance to begin recovery post-operation, Perry was infected with Influenza.
Given the nature of his surgery and the misfortune of catching the flu, there will be a long road of recovery ahead of Perry, and any aid or support for him and his family would be greatly appreciated. He is currently still in the hospital and does not know when he will be able to leave and has about 4 to 6 months of rehabilitation that will start after he’s been released.
Perry will not be able to do any heavy lifting within that time, which is where most of their struggle will come into play because he won’t be working, and is physically and financially struggling to manage their day-to-day lives.
Donations will be used for any financial situations that occur from this unfortunate accident.
