Support Perry and Joanna Deaton's rising medical costs.

Hi Everyone,

My husband Troy and I were fortunate enough to find friends about 15 years ago that have become family. A couple of weeks ago, they took a hard hit. Unexpectedly, the breadwinner, the dad, and the rock for their family got sick and took an unexpected turn. Perry was hit with MSSA (Staph Infection) that quickly led to a lengthy hospitalization with multiple surgeries. Along with the surgeries, there were several other complications. At times, we weren't sure if we would see our friend again, or if his kids would see their father. A situation no one saw coming. We are so happy to say that as of now, we think Perry will be able to come home soon. However, this will require a lot of time off work without income. They are very proud people and have an immense trust in God to see them through. Joanna is a nurse for the GMS middle school and has missed work as well. She is missing her students and co-workers but knows her purpose at this moment is to care for her husband. It will be at least 2 months before he can return to work fully, and they will need some help. I can't imagine the medical bills after a lengthy and scary hospital stay, but I know they could use any and all financial help we can offer. They wouldn't ever ask themselves, so I am asking. If you can help in any way, please consider. These people have become our family. Joanna's heart for her students is like no other, and Perry is the strength and example of what a hardworking father and man of God should be.
