It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we create this fundraiser for Perla Perez, after the devastating loss of her husband, Eduardo Romo. Eduardo passed away, leaving behind Perla and their two young children, Matias, 8, and Valentina, 6. There are simply no words for the loss of a husband and father, especially when two children are so young. Eduardo was such an important part of their lives, and Perla, Matias, and Valentina are now facing a future they never imagined having to navigate without him.

Our community has been fortunate to know this family through their children, and all the hours of volunteer time and work Perla has done for our community and they are truly so special. Right now, the hope is to give Perla one less thing to carry during this painful time. The funds raised will help support Perla, Valentina, and Matias with memorial and unexpected expenses, household costs, meals, time away from work, and moments of comfort as they begin adjusting to life without Eduardo. More than anything, this fundraiser is a way to surround this family with love and practical support while they grieve.
