Our sweet 7-month-old kitten, Pepper, is the love of our life. She’s playful, cuddly, and brings so much joy and comfort into mine and Hugo’s lives every single day.

on Sunday morning, Pepper suddenly began throwing up repeatedly. She was sluggish, letting out huge cry’s, and at times, unresponsive. We rushed her to the veterinary hospital, where we learned she had something lodged in her intestines that was tangling them together like an accordion. Without surgery, she wouldn’t survive.

At just 4 AM on Monday, Pepper underwent emergency surgery. Thankfully, she made it through and is now recovering, but saving her life came at a huge financial cost. Because she is still so young, Pepper isn’t insured yet, which meant we had to cover everything out of pocket. The choice was to use every cent we had to save her, or let her die. And the answer was simple. We had to help her.

We did everything we could to make sure our baby girl got the care she needed, but the medical bills are overwhelming. We are reaching out with humble hearts to ask for any help you can give as we try to cover the expenses of this unexpected emergency.
