I’m reaching out with a heavy heart, hoping for your help during one of the most difficult times I’ve ever faced. My sweet boy, Pepper, recently went through a terrifying ordeal. He suddenly developed a urinary tract obstruction (UTO) — a life-threatening condition that blocked him from being able to urinate. I rushed him to the emergency vet, praying for the best, but despite initial treatment, his condition worsened overnight.

The next day, I was told that emergency surgery was the only option to save his life. This surgery is called perineal urethrostomy (PU). I didn’t hesitate — I couldn’t imagine losing him. Thankfully, the surgery was successful, and Pepper is now home and slowly recovering. But the emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming.

The total cost of his emergency care and surgery came to nearly $9,000, and I was completely unprepared for such an enormous expense. I don’t have pet insurance, and this unexpected financial burden has been incredibly difficult.

Pepper is everything to me — he’s been by my side through thick and thin — and I’m doing everything I can to ensure he continues to heal. But I can’t do this alone. I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, for any help you can offer. Every little bit helps ease the financial stress and allows me to focus on giving Pepper the care and love he needs to fully recover.
