I found Penny as a stray, pregnant and wandering the streets the day before Thanksgiving. At first we didn't want to give her a name and we just called her Six because she was the sixth dog in our house, but of course that didn't last long and now she is Penelope Princess Sparkle Toes, AKA Penny. She is the SWEETEST and most GENTLE dog, just a little lovebug, we would love to keep her but we are not prepared to have her plus our dogs plus her EIGHT puppies. After calling and emailing rescue groups from San Diego to San Luis Obispo and being told no one would take her if she was pregnant and our only hope would be to spay her and euthanize the puppies the people at Calimesa Vet Clinic performed a miracle and found a rescue that will take her pregnant and all. We are asking for donations to cover her vet expenses, that we have incurred, and to make a donation to https://www.tanyasinc.org/ the rescue in Phelan where she is going, they are a non profit 501 (c) 3 organization.
