Hi my name is Penny. I have a family of six that I am trying to take care of each and every day. My story started four years ago. I found out I had pancreatic cancer and had to have a major surgery called the whipple. I was in the hospital for six weeks after that surgery. I had problems from day one and was in the hospital another 4 times. Each time was a stay anywhere from a week to 7 weeks. Had to have 5 more major surgeries. The last one that I had done they had to put in a feeding tube that I am still on 24 hours a day. I stay sick every day and can't keep anything down by mouth. I am not able to work and be on the feeding tube and take care of my family which I love with all my heart. I have three kids that are 8, 10, 15. They all three have a Immune disorder that keeps them sick a lot of the time. My youngest has to have weekly infusions to help keep her well. They all three have to be on homebound because when the go to school they are sick the first week of school and then it is a domino's effect from there. So they can't go a lot of places because they get sick so easy. My oldest is having a lot of dental issues. He had to get braces and the insurance want pay for them and now we found out that he has to have surgery to remove his wisdom teeth. The oral surgeon thinks he could have oral cancer in all four and needs them out as soon as possible. Well the insurance want pay for that so it is $4000 to remove them. His braces are $5100. After all of that now my husband had to have total knee replacement surgery on one of his knees. The doctor said he will be out of work for 6 months with it and then he has to have the other one done. That one will be another 6 months. So he will be out of work for a year. So the only money we have coming in is his disability and that doesn't even pay half of our bills a month. We also have my husband's mom living with us that we help take care of. We are just asking for help to get us through until we can get back on our feet. We pray that you will think and pray about helping our family.
