As many of you know, our dear friend Penny is facing an incredibly tough chapter in her life. Suddenly navigating the challenges of single parenting while undergoing treatment for breast cancer is more than anyone should have to handle alone.

True to form, Penny is meeting this battle with her trademark courage, determination, and good humour—but the reality is, it’s tough. The emotional and physical toll is immense, and the financial strain is overwhelming. Penny has had no choice but to leave her only source of income, her beloved teaching position, in order to begin treatment immediately.

Penny and I met as school mums over a decade ago and she has remained a loyal and much loved friend. Having known her this long, I can say she has always been the one to give—offering her time, energy, and heart to those around her. Now, it’s our turn to give back. Her village of family and friends is rallying around her, and we invite you to join us.
