As many of you know, Peggy was diagnosed in June with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer that has spread to her liver and bones. She has been undergoing chemotherapy in the hopes that it will prevent further spreading and allow her more time with her family and friends. Unfortunately, the side effects of the chemotherapy have led to hospitalizations and other negative effects on her day to day life. She is now unable to work and needs more physical and emotional support.

Peggy and her son, Matt, have concluded that it is in her best interest to leave Iowa and move in with Matt's family in California. Since being diagnosed, Peggy has expressed her wish to spend more time with her grandson, Ethan, and create as many memories as possible, and this necessary move will also facilitate that.

Peggy and her family are asking for any help in financing the expensive move across the country. The goal is to bring all of her belongings and store them, so that if her health permits, she'll be able to move into her own home again and regain that independence. Until then, having Peggy move in with Matt, Kris and Ethan will hopefully be the support she needs to overcome the difficulties of this cancer diagnosis and treatment.
