Support Peggy's Journey Through COVID and Cancer
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
We find ourselves at a crossroads as we share the courageous journey of our beloved mother, Peggy. Just a few days ago, Peggy faced the unimaginable struggle of COVID-19, prompting an urgent visit to the ER. Little did we know that within hours, the diagnosis would transcend the boundaries of a viral infection.
Through rushed scans, a shocking revelation unfolded — Peggy was battling not only against COVID-19 but also a formidable foe: cancer. Tests confirmed our worst fears, revealing a tumor that had broken through her left kidney, wreaking havoc on her lung and possibly elsewhere. As we anxiously await biopsy results to confirm the extent, Peggy's resilience shines brightly in the face of adversity.
During her first routine night at the hospital, Peggy's oxygen levels plummeted into the 60s, pushing her into cardiac arrest. The medical team swiftly intervened, intubating her and transferring her to the ICU. In the days that followed, Peggy exhibited remarkable strength, surpassing expectations as she was successfully taken off intubation. Her body, however, continues to recover, and she remains in the hospital.
The road ahead is challenging. Peggy won't be able to return to her physically demanding job, and the daunting path of cancer treatment lies ahead. As a family, we are committed to supporting Peggy every step of the way, but we know we cannot do it alone. We reach out to you, our extended family and friends, with open hearts and a humble request for support.
Whether it's a donation to our fundraiser or simply sharing this page with others, every gesture counts. We understand that not everyone may be in a position to donate, but your emotional support is equally cherished.
Let us come together as a community, united by love and compassion, to uplift Peggy in her time of need. The journey may be tough, but with each shared step, we believe in brighter tomorrows.
Thank you for being a part of Peggy's support network!
With heartfelt gratitude,
