We are coming together to support our dear friend, Peggy—a devoted wife, mother, and cherished member of our Lake Forest community—as she continues her courageous battle with breast cancer.

Since her diagnosis in 2023, Peggy has faced this challenge with unbelievable strength. Her journey has been relentless, involving a double mastectomy, six rounds of chemo, three rounds of immunotherapy, 33 radiation sessions, and five additional procedures.

The fight continues. Peggy's next steps involve intensive work with cardiologists and surgeons to become strong enough for another round of chemotherapy, all while managing a separate autoimmune disease.

Through it all, Peggy’s greatest source of strength is her family: her husband of 22 years, Antonio, and their wonderful children, Sofia and Dylan. They are her daily motivation to keep fighting.

This battle has taken a toll in every way imaginable. Peggy had to step away from a career she loved, losing not only her income but a core part of her identity. Her current disability benefits cover just a fraction of their household expenses, creating immense financial pressure on top of the physical and emotional weight of her illness.
