Support Peggy Speer's Battle with MS and Lyme disease

Donation protected
Hi,
My name is Karen and I am reaching out to share the story of my beautiful baby sister, Peggy (Plewa) Speer. My sister was diagnosed with (MS) multiple sclerosis 30 years ago. This horrible autoimmune disease unfortunately has no cure. Although she has lived a “fairly” normal life battling this disease, the last two years have been debilitating, and recently she has also been diagnosed with Lyme disease as well.

My sister is a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. Everyone that knows her can attest to this. She loves her job at the United States Postal Service in Oswego, where she is loved by all her customers that she serves every day with a smile. She would love to keep working as long as possible because she really loves what she does. My sister has started having difficulty walking and just doing everyday tasks. She has five grandchildren, and it breaks her heart that she cannot do the things with them that she used to do.

Unfortunately, medical insurance does not cover a lot of the medical treatments that have shown great results in slowing down the progression of these devastating diseases. With the financial support of her family, friends, and community, she can focus on living a quality life and not have all the financial burden that she will incur while doing these treatments.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my sister’s story. She means the world to me, and it breaks my heart to see her struggle. Any monetary donation would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Karen
