Hello everyone. I am Gustavo González, and I have decided to reach out for help to cover the cost of an urgent surgery for my brother, Pedro González. He is currently located on Margarita Island, in the state of Nueva Esparta, Venezuela. The procedure involves a large right-sided inguinal-scrotal hernia, as well as a second inguinal hernia on the left side—specifically, a "bilateral hernoplasty," as indicated in the doctor's orders.

I have chosen to seek this assistance through this platform because, in the area where my brother Pedro lives on Margarita Island, Venezuela, there is no public hospital currently equipped to safely perform this operation.

He attempted to undergo the surgery through the public healthcare system, initially visiting hospitals where he was informed that they only performed minor procedures. Because his hernia is so large, they explained that it could not be treated there, but only at the island's main public hospital, known as "Luis Ortega."

This hospital is the only facility on the island that handles all emergency cases; consequently, it is almost always overcrowded. It also suffers from a severe shortage of medical supplies, meaning that patients themselves are often required to provide their own materials.

Most critically, however, the hospital operates under highly unsanitary conditions, and there have been numerous complaints and reports indicating that its operating room is contaminated. There have been documented cases of patient deaths resulting from septicemia, as well as the deaths of newborns attributed to the same cause.

While this reflects no discredit upon the medical and paramedical staff, the hospital is officially classified as a high-risk environment for anyone requiring surgical intervention. Indeed, staff members from the hospital itself have privately advised my brother Pedro against undergoing surgery there, warning that his life would be in jeopardy.

For these reasons, I would be immensely grateful for any contribution each of you can make to help us arrange for my brother Pedro to undergo this surgery at a private clinic.

Hola a todos Soy Gustavo González y He decidido solicitar ayuda para poder Costear una cirugía con carácter de urgencia para mi Hermano Pedro González que se encuentra en la isla de margarita estado Nueva Esparta en venezuela ,se trata de una hernia inguinal-escrotal de gran tamaño en el lado derecho, así como también de otra hernia inguinal en el lado izquierdo, es decir, se trata de una “hernoplastia bilateral”, tal como describe la orden del médico.

Y He decidido solicitar esta ayuda por este medio, por cuanto en el lugar donde vive mi Hermano Pedro González en la Isla de Margarita, Venezuela, no hay un hospital público que esté en condiciones de atender esta operación de manera segura.

El Intento operarse por la vía del sector público, acudiendo primeramente a hospitales en donde le señalaron que solo realizaban operaciones pequeñas, y que su hernia por ser grande, no podía ser atendida, excepto en el principal hospital público de la isla, denominado “Luis Ortega”.

Dicho hospital es el único que atiende todas las emergencias de la isla, por lo tanto, generalmente se encuentra abarrotado. No cuenta con suficientes insumos, por tanto son los mismos pacientes quienes deben llevar los suyos.

Pero lo más grave, es que dicho hospital está en condiciones bastante insalubres, y existen denuncias y reportes que indican que su quirófano está contaminado. Se han sabido de casos de muertes por septicemias, así como fallecimientos de neonatos por la misma causa.

Sin desmerecer al personal médico y paramédico, el hospital está catalogado como de alto riesgo, para quienes deben recibir atención quirúrgica en el mismo. Personal del mismo hospital, en forma confidencial, le han recomendado mi Hermano Pedro González a no ser operados en el mismo, pues su vida correría peligro.

Por tal causa, agradezco enormemente la colaboración que cada uno de ustedes puede realizar, para poder operar a mi Hermano Pedro González en una clínica privada.
