Support Pedro’s Cancer Treatment Journey

Pedro recently received an unexpected cancer diagnosis that has turned our world upside down. The news came as a shock, and since then, our family has been navigating a whirlwind of medical appointments, tests, and difficult decisions. Pedro now faces a long journey that includes more diagnostic tests, cancer treatments, and surgery. Each step brings new challenges, both emotionally and financially, as we work to ensure he receives the best care possible.
Pedro had a colonoscopy on September 11, 2025. His doctor referred him because his latest blood results showed that the anemia he had been battling was not improving with medication. Barely a month after the procedure, he had to stay in after only to hear the devastating results. A tumor in his large intestine and the doctor was 70% certain it was cancer.
The next day, he was contacted by a surgeon who confirmed just by looking at the photos and results of the colonoscopy that it was cancer. Pedro was immediately referred for a Pet Scan, which showed spots on his liver. On September 19, he had an appointment with his oncology doctor, who told him that the Pet Scan results also showed tumors in different locations in his liver and small spots on his lung.
The doctor's prognosis, if the liver tests positive for cancer, is 3 to 4 years of life with treatment. On this day, they also took more blood samples.
The latest results indicated that Pedro's cancer is aggressive and that without treatment he only has 3 to 6 months to live. This news has been devastating for him, our children, his mother, and his family. Hearing that he has cancer has been incredibly difficult, and the entire family is trusting in God that the Lord will perform a miracle in his life, with his health, and with everything that this burden entails.
On September 29, Pedro began his first iron infusion.
On October 9, he was finally able to have his liver biopsy.
Pedro still has many appointments and more tests to undergo. The insurance co-pays have been extremely high. The family is trying to manage the expenses and provide him with a good diet so that he's strong for when he begins treatment.
On October 10, Pedro has an appointment to receive his catheter for chemotherapy.
He has also been ordered to have another full-body Pet Scan to ensure that the cancer hasn't spread to the brain or another part of the body.

We are reaching out for support to help cover Pedro’s medical bills, ongoing treatments, and any related needs that arise during his recovery. Your generosity will also help us manage household expenses, giving our family some peace of mind during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to stability and allows Pedro to focus on healing. Thank you for standing with us and offering hope when we need it most.
