My name is Pearson (he/they) and I've been out as transmasculine non-binary since about 2021. I want to get surgery within 2026-2027 in case all gender-affirming care gets banned in my state. This ban would prevent access to hormone replacement therapy, surgeries, and other gender-affirming care.
I'm working to save money to afford top surgery (double mastectomy), post-op expenses, medication, and two months of no work to allow my body to heal. It would mean so much to help support me on this monumental step in my gender identity. I've been wanting to get surgery for years now and finally see it coming true. My goal is to raise $12,000 to cover the costs of surgery and other bills I need to pay while I take a break from work to recover.
A dime, a dollar, or more would mean a lot in showing support for this procedure. I will keep working to save up what I can to help cover what my insurance cannot. I'm happy to accept art commissions as a way to send you a special thank-you gift.
