I'm the lucky husband of Pearl Erickson, an amazing woman, mother, and wife. We have a 16-year-old, a 3-year-old, and a 1-year-old who obviously demand all our love and attention! Pearl is a graduate of the University of Houston, was a police officer for the Galveston Police Department for almost 5 years, and is currently an officer with the Port of Galveston. I am also an officer with the Galveston Police Department. We do not have any immediate family nearby to help with childcare, so it's just the two of us, and under normal circumstances, we make due.

Recently, she was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian tumor, which she is required to have major surgery next week (November). Due to its location, we won’t know if it’s cancer until it’s removed. While we are trying to remain optimistic, it is still forcing her to have a surgery that will take her 8 weeks to recover from, possibly longer if cancer is diagnosed. The road for us is going to be a long one, but her health is what we pray for the most right now.

This has put an incredible strain on our finances due to medical bills and Pearl and I having to take time off work. With resources running dry, I am asking for any help anyone out there can provide.
