My name is Gabby and Peaches is my 4-year-old calico. Peaches is a loveable cuddly cat that has been with me since shes was just a kitten.

Over the past week, I found out that she has pneumonia. After a visit to her primary vet, we were rushed over to VEG (emergency vet) where Peaches was put on oxygen and given strong antibiotics. It was a very stressful time as we did not know if she was going to make it.

Thankfully, after about 24 hours on oxygen, she started to make progress and was able to slowly start breathing on her own! The amazing doctors and vet techs over there provided wonderful care to Peaches and I was finally able to take my baby home.

Peaches is doing much better, but there is still a long road ahead for her recovery. Over the next two to three months, she will need regular check-ups, labs, and medications to make sure that she heals from this and that it is not something even more serious like cancer.

While the absolutely amazing and kind people at VEG and Old Town Vet made the care as affordable as possible, I am still struggling to make these payments. As I have $2,000 a month student loan payments, I do not have much extra to make the required payments for the treatments that kept my Peaches alive.

I am asking for donations to help cover the vet bills and follow-up treatments that add up to about $2,000. I understand times are really tough right now and life continues to get more and more expensive.
