My name is Payton Romney, and on Tuesday, April 29th, I had a stroke at work. At the time, I chose to ignore it, but after two days of feeling intensely off, I went to the emergency room in Provo.

After two days in the hospital and several tests and labs, it was a confirmed stroke. Every doctor was saying it was an anomaly to have a stroke so young and healthy. A 24-year-old with no prior health issues having a stroke is unheard of.

After all the testing, a hole in my heart was discovered. I now have a heart monitor for a month and am prepping for potential exams and surgeries.

If you know me, you know I'm someone that is mortified asking for help.

But not only did I have a stroke, but I recently lost insurance with my work just two weeks ago. Then I get hospitalized... right.

With no insurance, the continuous bills coming in, as well as the lingering surgery, is an insane stress.

And I love and appreciate anyone that helps. I never thought I would be here.
