Support Paxton's Fight Against Crohn's

Hi, I am Cheyenne, Paxton's mom. Many know me as his Auntie! We have been sitting in a children's hospital for a week and a half now. Not many know that Paxton has Crohn's and he had a bad flare-up that moved fast. Thankfully, I knew what to watch for and what was going on, so we got help fast. It started off as flu-like symptoms, but we soon found out it wasn't the flu. We rushed to his doctor, and she said we had to go elsewhere, so he was flown out of our hometown. We landed at a hospital that decided they didn't want to help him because he was too severe, so we drove to a children's hospital. We are many hours from home and living in a hospital now for an extended amount of time. Paxton ended up having a 7-hour surgery with his right side colon, a portion of his small intestine, and his right side of the large intestine removed. We were heading in a good direction, and Paxton had an episode that made his heart rate go to 297 and his breathing over 300. It was a VERY scary day thinking I was losing my child at 17. It was a very long day, and lots of doctors surrounded us all day long. Where we are is very expensive! I don't leave often, and just to DoorDash a meal from McDonald's is around 30 bucks. Anything will help us while we are here and with the medical bills that are soon to arrive.

Paxton would like to put a disclaimer on this as he knows his donors will find out, and he doesn't want to hear anything from them. They will get no updates. He is 17 and can make his own decisions like he always has. When he gets better and can see this, I did my part as he asked me to when we decided to set this up.

Thanks to everyone that has helped and sent us good vibes. He is stable and doing okay at this moment. Hoping he stays going in the right direction because I don't ever want to feel that feeling again.
