Devastating Christmas Day Fire

On Christmas Day, tragedy struck PAWS – Friends of the Hamburg Pound when a devastating fire destroyed our entire dog pound. In a matter of moments, we lost everything—the building, all essential supplies, and our electricity. Nothing was salvageable.

PAWS exists to protect, shelter, and advocate for dogs in our community who have nowhere else to go. Now, we are facing the heartbreaking reality of having to start completely from scratch.

Funds raised will go directly toward:

• Rebuilding the dog pound

• Restoring electricity and utilities

• Replacing kennels, food, bedding, medical supplies, and equipment

• Creating a safe place once again for dogs in need

This loss has been overwhelming, but we believe in the strength of our community. Any donation—big or small—will make a difference and help us take the first steps toward rebuilding and continuing our mission.
