Pavlov is a beloved 7-year-old Boston Terrier who was diagnosed in March with a type of brain tumor called a meningioma. After having 3 seizures, an MRI, spinal tap, CT scan, and multiple trips to hospitals and specialists all over the state, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Thanks to some really wonderful oncologists, she was able to receive intensive and literally life-saving radiation therapy within a week of diagnosis. Without this treatment, her life expectancy would have only been 3-6 months.

Pavlov is a documented Emotional Support Animal who has helped me manage my Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and severe Major Depression. Although radiation was both very scary and very costly, it will greatly improve her quality of life, eliminate the need for one of her medications, extend her life, and was much less risky than the alternative, brain surgery. Her quality of life has greatly enhanced my quality of life these last 7 years, and I would not have been able to manage my disabilities without her. She is still recovering from her treatment, but she has not had any additional seizures since starting her care. She'll have additional imaging done in September that will *hopefully* confirm the efficacy of the radiation therapy. This will naturally mean more expenses, but I am trying to remain as optimistic as possible.

Her five-year-old Boxer sister, Wicket, had to have surgery 3 days after Pavlov completed radiation. Thankfully, she has recovered well and I'm hoping for equally good news for Pavlov too. My dogs are so important to my life and my well-being, we're so grateful for any and all support.
