Our favorite mailman has delivered a lot of smiles, now he needs one back. If you live in the neighborhood, chances are you already know Paul Edmonds, our beloved mailman, professional power-walker, and unofficial daily morale booster. Rain or shine, Paul parks his truck, walks his route, delivers our mail, and almost always delivers a smile (and sometimes a quick chat) along with it. He’s not just dropping off envelopes, he’s part of the neighborhood. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
Recently, Paul suffered a heart attack caused by a pre-existing heart condition. Thanks to some incredible doctors and quick action, his life was saved, but the road ahead is a long one. Paul is currently in the hospital and will remain there until a donor heart becomes available for a transplant. It’s a waiting game no one wants to play, and it comes with emotional, physical, and financial challenges for Paul and his loved ones.
We’re raising funds to help ease some of that burden, covering unexpected hospital bills, the costs of a long hospital stay, transplant-related expenses, and yes… maybe even the occasional non-hospital meal (because let’s be honest, everyone deserves a break from hospital food). Every donation, share, and kind word helps remind Paul and his family that they’re not facing this alone. Let’s rally together and support the man who’s been faithfully walking our streets and brightening our days for so long.
If you’re able, please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser. Let’s show Paul just how much heart this community really has.
