I'm Paulette, my family is originally from Westmoreland and St James, Jamaica. I'm organizing this fundraiser to support them and my Rural Community in Jamaica affected by Hurricane Melissa.

Hurricane Melissa has devastated Jamaica, leaving a trail of destruction and despair in its wake. While the world focuses on the cities, the rural communities – the backbone of our island – are struggling to survive. My loved ones and friends in Westmoreland, close to where the hurricane made landfall, are among those suffering the most.

Their homes are destroyed, food supplies and clothes are ruined. Our vulnerable communities, often ignored by governments and organizations, are crying out for help.

Why this matters: As a native Jamaican, I know that these small towns are the heartbeat of our island. They're often invisible to the world, but they're the ones who need support the most. While donations to larger organizations are crucial, they often focus on infrastructure, leaving the rural communities to fend for themselves.

Your donation will go directly to supporting individuals that we know, who are affected by Hurricane Melissa. Your contribution will also be used to send essential items in relief containers. Your generosity will bring relief in the lives of Jamaica's forgotten community .

Thank you in advance for your support!
