Help Paula Recover After a Life-Threatening Medical Crisis.

On March 1, 2026, Paula experienced a sudden and severe medical emergency. What initially seemed like bronchitis quickly escalated into severe pneumonia and respiratory failure. Her oxygen levels dropped dangerously low, and doctors had to place her on a ventilator to save her life.

Paula spent five days on life support. When she regained consciousness, she faced the difficult reality that time on a ventilator can cause rapid muscle loss and weakness. She now requires ongoing rehabilitation and physical therapy to regain her strength, rebuild lung capacity, and safely return to daily life.

Unfortunately, during this already stressful time, there have been delays and coverage challenges with disability benefits and rehabilitation care through insurance, which has created unexpected financial strain while Paula is unable to work.

Instead of focusing solely on healing, Paula and her family have been navigating complicated insurance approvals and administrative processes while medical and household expenses continue.
