Support Paula's Journey of Strength and Hope

Hi friends & family,

My name is Amber Elliott, and I’m reaching out to share my mother’s journey. Paula Elliott is a vibrant and spirited woman who has faced challenges with incredible strength. Ten years ago, she bravely battled breast cancer and emerged victorious.

Recently, however, we received the heartbreaking news that her cancer has returned, now at stage 4. The cancer has metastasized to her lungs, hip, pelvis and femur. This fight is different; advancements in cancer research and treatments keep us extremely optimistic. My mom will undergo a full hip, femur, and pelvic replacement surgery, followed by radiation and rehabilitation.

We are seeking support to help cover her medical care, as we’ve exhausted our financial resources. Unfortunately, she lost her job and can no longer work due to her immobility. Although she has been approved for SSDI, there’s a five-month waiting period before any assistance begins. She and my amazing sister in law will also have to travel 2+ hours for treatment on a regular basis.

We are grateful for any help you can provide, whether through donations, resources, or words of encouragement. My mom has a warrior spirit, and our faith in the Lord remains strong. We appreciate your prayers, positive vibes, encouraging video messages or whatever form of support you can offer.

Current Updates:

Last Friday, she suffered a broken hip due to the cancer deteriorating the bone and was transported to a larger hospital for care. While waiting for transport, she experienced a heart attack. In addition to this, one of her lungs collapsed and has required fluid drainage and additional care as they also discovered a pulmonary embolism.

The medical team is focused on stabilizing her heart and lungs before a tentative surgery scheduled for Friday. The surgery will involve replacing the bones in the hip and femur.

It has been a rocky few days for our family and we appreciate your support and prayers during this challenging time. I will continue to update this as new developments are made.
