Support Paula's Healing Journey

Hello, my name is Paula Walter. I have recently been told I am terminal. I have Clear Cell Uterine Cancer, a rare and aggressive cancer.

I have spent my life either working as an artist or for non-profits.

I founded and ran Kind Medicine, a nonprofit in Santa Cruz, CA for over 12 years.

I am so proud of my amazing team at Kind Medicine. Together we were able to donate over 2.5 million dollars in herbal medicine and cash donations to patients in need and to other nonprofits such as St. Judes, Jacob's Heart, Shriners Children's Hospital, Valley Churches, Breast Cancer Research, and many more.

I am very lucky to have had an amazing life. I hope to be able to continue helping others, by volunteering and teaching herbal medicine making.

I have decided to spend the rest of my time with dear friends I love. I am moving to a tiny place on the Big Island. It is funny but it is much more affordable than the bay area where I currently live.

I am asking for help to get my car to Hawaii and to help with alternative medical treatments in Hawaii.

I have found a beautiful studio cabin to rent next door to my dear friend John. A wonderful place where I will be able to rest and heal.

Any donations will be used for car transportation (needed for medical appointments etc), and alternative health care including physical therapy, acupuncture, herbal supplements, and other medical costs as needed.
