Support Paula's Fight Against Colon Cancer
Donation protected
To those of you who know Paula, this news will likely come as a shock. On January 21st, Paula was diagnosed with Colon Cancer which spread to other areas of her body. As we all know, Paula is one of the most vibrant, loving, and adventurous souls you’ll ever meet. I had the privilege of meeting her in 2009 when we worked together as raft guides at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, and from that moment, we became fast friends. Paula’s infectious laugh, her warmth, and her incredible ability to make everyone feel like family are just a few of the reasons so many people from coast to coast call her a friend.
She’s always been the person to cheer up a friend, bring people together, and share the joy of exploration. But now, she needs our help as she faces this difficult and scary journey.
The reality of medical expenses is overwhelming, and while Paula focuses on her recovery, the financial burden can feel like an additional weight. We want to rally around her, as she’s done for so many of us, and provide whatever support we can. Every little bit will help with medical costs, treatments, and the other unforeseen expenses that come with this fight.
Paula is receiving great care at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire. Her treatment has included chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery to remove a tumor from her brain. Balancing her care, travel, emotional and mental health has been a tough challenge.
If you can, please consider donating. And if you’re unable to donate at this time, sharing this campaign with your network means the world.
Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and your love for Paula. Let’s help her focus on what matters most—kicking cancers ass!
Sincerely,
Her friend Becky
