Support Paula Regan's Brave Battle with Cancer

In February of this year, Paula came home from work, changed out of her scrubs, and felt a lump. She was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer and started chemotherapy two weeks later. We are at the early stages of this new and uncertain chapter in our lives, so we are both learning as we go. I will of course be by her side for every step and for everything she has to go through. Our vacation plans, summer plans, and other things we wanted to do this year will have to be put on hold. I'm posting this personal information for those of you that know or have met Paula. I don't have to tell you how sweet and kind this lady is. But you might be surprised how brave she is and has been since her diagnosis. I hope I can be that strong going forward. A few of my friends and family are breast cancer survivors that have gone on to live normal lives. But they also warned us about the medical bills after the treatment is over. Paula just finished her 7th treatment with 5 more chemotherapy treatments to go in this round. There will be 12 more treatments in round 2 of her chemotherapy. We are saving what we can, and Paula is still working her fulltime job. As the treatments have gone by, so has Paula's energy. Doctors are encouraging her to work and live a "normal" life. In two weeks (April 18), we meet with a surgeon to discuss Paula's options for surgery after her chemotherapy. Surgery will be scheduled sometime after July of this year. Any and all monies raised with this account will go for Paula's future medical bills and expenses only.
