Our dear friend and Macclenny Fire and Rescue’s firefighter Paula Nadeau was severely injured in a hit-and-run accident last night while riding her motorcycle. Paula has dedicated so much of her life to serving and protecting our community, and now she needs us. She is also a mom, and this recovery for her is going to be long and difficult—emotionally, physically, and financially.
We are working to gather donations to help ease the burden during this incredibly challenging time. Any contribution—big or small—would mean so much and would directly help a hero who has always shown up for others when they needed it most. The funds raised will go towards Paula’s medical bills and other life expenses, which will still need to be paid while she recovers.
If you’re willing to donate or help in any way, please let us know. Thank you so much for supporting Paula during this time. Anything big or small will help her, but if you can’t, then prayers will absolutely work, also. Together, we can show Paula just how much this community cares.
Update (4-19-26 @ 2000)
When I spoke to her about 30 minutes ago. She stated no surgery as of now and that some of the Injuries will cause her to be shorter. She giggled when she said that she said that they give her about three months of recovery! Thank you all for being so supportive of her and reaching out to see where you can help! I appreciate you all so much!!!❤️
Update on P4-20-2026 @2000
She had some other test done today to rule out a few things. She got out of the bed for the first time, alittle weak and fainty but that’s to be expected. But getting up was a huge first step and we will take this as progress and a win for today!!
