Hi, my name is Paula Lynn Marquez. I don’t really like asking for help, but I’m just giving up hope at this point.

From October 13-22, 2025, I was getting IVs, blood work, and other treatments from my clinic at AMC. I haven’t been working for a while, so I tried my best to stretch the money I had on hand.

On October 23, 2025, I was admitted into the hospital because I couldn't stand the pain I’d been feeling any longer. Every day, I was getting cold chills and unexpected fevers that made it really hard to focus. I was giving up. Right when I was in the emergency room, I was admitted right away, and if I had not gone any sooner, I would have lost my foot. I had surgery on my left foot on Friday and Tuesday.

Today (October 29), I was told I was going to be in here for another 4 weeks to 6 months. I’m basically on my own and have my 2 boys. With my insurance, I was asked to make some payments totaling the most at $6000, but I still have my 2 boys, and I need to pay rent and utilities at the house I am living at. I am a mother basically on my own for now. I am not asking for much, but just to help me get by till I get out of the hospital and can work on my own again. I’m trying my best to get the best medical care I can. Any help will do. Thank you
