Hi, my name is Paul and I have lost two pets in August.
Momma Cat, the torti, died peacefully after a 3-day hospitalization on August 8th. She was 4 days shy of 18 years old and lived a wonderful long life.
Theodore, my tuxedo cat, developed a urinary blockage 2 weeks later. I got him to the ER vet quickly where they were able to stabilize him over that weekend. He then had a cystotomy procedure since they found bladder stones within his bladder. Over the next few days, he continued to not improve and returned to the vet to investigate. His bloodwork was not good and they found he had an accumulation of fluid in his abdomen. Exploratory surgery was done to determine what the fluid was and the source. The doctors found some necrotic tissue on his bladder, not associated with the pervious surgery. As they were completing this surgery, Theodore's heart stopped. The did everything they could to save him, including CPR. Theodore was 6 years old.
The costs of Momma Cat and Theodore's treatments is in excess of $4500. Theodore experienced a bladder stones last year, so I have already been trying to pay down that balance on my Care Credit card.
To have two pets pass away three weeks apart has been very hard, emotionally and financially.
The veterinary hospital has been gracious enough to help me with a payment plan, but its a big payment I am struggling with.
If you help me with a donation, I would greatly appreciate it.
