MAN LOSES HOME AND CONTENTS TO ARSON FIRE.
On Friday, August 10, 2024, at around 5:15 a.m., some lowlife deliberately committed arson and set fire to a work van parked in the driveway at the Croydon, PA home of my brother, Paul Wallace. The van did not belong to my brother but to a person staying in his house. Tragically, the fire almost immediately spread to his home.
Despite the best efforts of the Croydon Volunteer Fire Department and other local volunteer fire units, the house and its contents were lost. Thanks to the work of two Bristol Township police officers, everyone in the home was able to escape the blaze, but sadly, my brother lost his beloved cat, Echo.
The house is a total loss and seems unrepairable. It will probably have to be completely torn down and rebuilt. My brother bought the house in 1989 and, over the next 37 years, spent countless hours building the house into the perfect home for himself. All of this while raising his son, Paul Wallace Jr., in the home.
I am asking for donations to help my brother with expenses (food, hotel, travel to and from work) during the long process of making this tragic situation right, and to help with the purchase of essential items that were lost, mainly clothing.
Any amount, no matter how big or how small, is greatly appreciated.
If you are local to Croydon, PA, I am also accepting direct donations of clothing (size 2X shirts, size 38 pants) and any essentials that can be used during an extended hotel stay (canned foods, soap, shampoo, laundry soap, toothpaste, paper plates, napkins, paper towels, plastic cups, etc.) while my brother wades through this nightmare. Just reach out to me either by hitting the "Contact" button below and I will see to it that he gets these essentials.
Thank you. It is all greatly appreciated.
