Support Paul Salisbury's Road to Recovery

My name is Kelly Salisbury and I am Paul’s wife. We have been married for 14 years September 2025. Paul is a Navy Veteran who served our country and continues be the most kind, caring, and supportive person I have ever met. He is selfless and gives so much of himself to others. Just for background March has been the worst month for us. Paul has supported me through the 18 year anniversary of my father’s suicide, the loss of my grandmother(father’s mother), and a pending possible breast cancer diagnosis. He has held my hand through this horrible process and planned to support me on 4/11(his birthday) for my upcoming lumpectomy. On 4/3 after my grandmothers funeral we were driving to lunch with our family and Paul noticed he wasn’t feeling well and asked me to switch with him to drive and park the car. Within 5 minutes he was having a seizure (he has no history of seizures ever). The seizure lasted 10 minutes. After being rushed to the hospital and being tested we found out he broke his spine in two places and his shoulder from the violence of the seizure. He has now had a successful back fusion surgery and has a pending shoulder surgery. We find ourselves lucky and grateful to be alive. All doctors advised that if he would have been driving that mostly likely we would have all died.(Paul, my sister, and I). But he was brave and took action when he knew something wasn’t right. He saved us. Now it’s our turn to save him with any and all support we can provide him. The future is going to be hard with rehabilitation and recovery…. But it’s a challenge we are going to crush. We are anticipating quite a bit of cost with follow up appointments, physical therapy, additional surgeries etc. If you find it in your heart to donate I can promise both Paul and I will spend the rest of our life paying it forward.
