Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out on behalf of our brother, Paul Murphy, who recently suffered a serious and unexpected injury.
On Monday, July 28th, while putting away dishes, a glass slipped from Paul's hand, shattering another glass and causing a deep laceration to his left index finger. The injury was severe—both flexor tendons were completely severed.
Paul was taken to the emergency room and underwent emergency hand surgery the next day at the Volusia Hand Surgery Center, where surgeons were able to successfully reattach both tendons.
Since then, Paul has had 30 stitches removed and is now in the midst of a long and challenging recovery. He is currently going through intensive physical therapy in hopes of regaining full mobility in his hand. Doctors estimate that Paul will be out of work for at least 8 weeks, and several weeks of light duty might take over 12 weeks.
This injury has impacted every part of Paul’s life—not only can he not work in his construction job, but he’s also unable to play bass in his beloved band, Crashrocket, during this time.
We’re asking for your help to support Paul as he navigates this recovery journey. Your donations will help cover:
Medical bills and therapy
Lost income during recovery
Daily living expenses
If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with your friends, family, or on social media. Every bit of support means the world to us and to Paul.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and generosity.
With love,
Ed Murphy & Cassie Gevry
