I'm reaching out on behalf of my Kone brother and friend of 7 years Paul Kennedy. Two years ago, while working construction, he discovered a staph infection in his knee. It nearly cost him his leg and required two surgeries. During recovery, he developed a hernia, and when doctors went to fix it, they found a growth in his stomach that had to be removed. The surgeries have left him without functional abdominal muscles, unable to stand straight, and now needing a hip replacement. He can't work and is facing the possibility of losing his home. In all the years I've known him, he's never asked anyone for help—he's always been independent and hardworking. But right now, he needs us.
