Hello everyone!!

This upcoming February 21st, me and my husband will be married 11 years! To say that we’ve been partners every step of the way is an understatement. Through ups and downs (and boy have there been downs) we’ve been each other’s constant companion.

Recently, we’ve been hit with the hardest news we’ve ever received. What started as a lump under his right armpit has turned into an official Cancer diagnosis. And yes, that’s Cancer with a Capital C. His journey has been long and difficult, starting with a biopsy on October 6th and continuing with his chemo port insertion on October 20th.

We received his official diagnosis on November 18th: Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma, an aggressive type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Hearing this was terrifying and absolutely crushed our hope that it was something else, anything else. But we are here and we are fighting this.

My husband is not the type of person to ask for handouts. He is hardworking and likes to be in control of his own destiny, but this is something he could have never predicted. He has started chemo infusions (R-Chop) and continues to go to work even though his body wants to stay home and rest.

I am asking for help on his behalf. He has no PTO left, his diagnosis process ate it all, and he doesn’t qualify for short term disability or FMLA yet. He switched jobs shortly before we discovered his cancer.

Any donation will help ease his fears about taking days off when he is feeling down, it will put a dent on the medical debt we’ve accumulated thus far, and it will prove that he is not alone in this. Anything helps, especially words of support :) He will continue his chemo treatments, next infusion will be 12/30/25.
