Paul Brown, a longtime friend and neighbor, was seriously injured in an accident on his birthday last June 1st while doing something he loved; working with son. What began as a special day quickly became the start of an unimaginable journey. He was airlifted to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he spent four months hospitalized and underwent more than 20 surgeries. After leaving Maine, it took several additional months of intense rehabilitation in Boston to return home to home to Whitman. His recovery is long and challenging, but Paul remains determined to regain as much independence as possible.
Throughout these months, his family and friends have been faithfully by his side — advocating for him, supporting him, and walking every step of this journey with him. The burden has been emotionally and financially impactful. The house has had to be adjusted to be wheel-chair accessible and there are ongoing costs related to continued care and necessary adjustments.
Paul has always been the kind of person who shows up when others need help. He is a loyal friend, devoted husband and father, and a neighbor who never hesitated to lend a hand. Now it’s our turn to be there for him. Your gift will go toward his medical and living expenses.
Every bit of support shows Paul and his family that their community stands with them. Thank you for helping someone who has given so much to others.
