Support Paul Andrews' Stroke Recovery

Donation protected

On May 21st 2021, Paul had a stroke, two brain bleeds, and a seizure. Adrian, Paul and Donna's 14-year-old son, found his father at the bottom of the stairs after being awoken by a loud bang early in the morning. Paul was rushed to the hospital where he underwent eight hours of brain surgery. For what felt like an eternity, Paul was touch and go. By late June, Paul was finally starting to come around. He'd made some improvements with speech, memory, movement, and was even starting to send out a few short text messages to his children each day. That didn't last long, and Paul soon found himself completely paralyzed once again. Paul was eventually diagnosed with Gullain Barre Syndrome, a rare neurological condition, that was likely brought on by the trauma of the stroke. It's been two months and Paul is still in the hospital, learning how to do everything all over again.

Unfortunately, while all this has been going on, the bills have kept coming. Paul has always been a wonderful husband, father, and a hard worker. He has been proud to be the sole provider for his family. If Paul had it his way, he would have been back to work on May 22nd. The doctors are saying that Paul will be off work until next summer at the absolute earliest. Donna's pension covers the rent, but that's about it. Right now, the goal is to keep their home, keep everyone fed, and give Paul the support he needs to get through this and get home to Donna, Adrian, and Autumn. Paul's family needs help.
