Support Paul and Misty Through Medical Crisis

Hello, my name is Ashley and Paul has been like a father figure to me for over 20 years now. Typically our family doesn't like to ask for help. But sometimes things happen and you need your community. Paul recently found out that he has a bad valve in his heart and needs surgery to replace it ASAP. Due to his heart issues, he gets dizzy and lightheaded often. Due to this, he fell one day and hit his head on a retaining wall and broke his neck in two different areas, and needed emergency surgery at a level 1 trauma center. Unfortunately due to his heart issues, they can not find a doctor who will touch his neck. When he is able to have both of his surgeries (which are not at all cheap) he will be out of work for an extended period of time. My mom- Misty White will also need to take time off of work to make sure that he gets the care he needs. I know everyone has it rough right now, but to go from two incomes to no income or even one income when she is able to go back to work is a lot. Especially with the added medical cost and gas prices to travel back and forth between doctor visits and hospital stays. Both Misty and Paul have always been the type to help out whenever they can in whatever way they can. Paul has an appointment on Wednesday and hopefully, we will find out what they will be able to do about his heart now that we have a broken neck in the mix.
