Support Patty's Legacy of Love

Edna Ruano, or Patty as she was known to many who loved her, was an absolute angel on this earth.

She was a loving, intelligent hardworking mother of 5 children, 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and the beloved wife of Gustavo.

Patty raised my three boys and was a second mother to them and to me. She could get any baby to sleep or eat and never ever sat down to rest. She gave her all into everything, and she did it with a smile and a warm hug and a "te amo". Patty was magic.

Patty worked from a very young age. One of her first jobs in the US was cleaning houses. She would take the bus to the bottom of Topanga Canyon then walk about a mile up the canyon to work for $8/hr. After she had children she continued to work always getting better jobs rewarded for her intelligence and incredible work ethic.

She would take her children to work with her and one day while ridding the bus, a passenger tried to take Karin's (her daughter's) doll from her. Patty wouldn't have it: She learned how to drive so they wouldn't have to take the bus any longer.

Patty was a force of strength and resilience which makes loosing her quickly all the more difficult.

Everyone who met her loved her. She will be deeply missed, but also deeply remembered. Her positive impact on this world through the children she shaped and people she helped will be felt for generations.

Please help her family give her a proper memorial. Any amount helps greatly.
