After moving to Tennessee, my mother-in-law Patty was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She faced this challenge with incredible strength, enduring surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. In May 2025, we celebrated as she was declared cancer free. Unfortunately, just a few months later, Patty began experiencing unbearable stomach pain. In December 2025, we learned the cancer had returned and spread to her stomach. With courage and faith, Patty made the difficult decision not to pursue further treatment, choosing instead to spend her remaining time surrounded by loved ones and trusting she will be welcomed with open arms.
Patty is now on hospice care, unable to eat much due to blockages caused by the cancer. She and her husband Martin had recently bought a beautiful home in Tennessee, investing much of their savings to make it their own. They also created cherished memories on a few special vacations. However, these expenses have left them in a difficult financial situation as they face the costs of end-of-life care and burial.
We are reaching out to our community for support to help fulfill Patty’s wish of being buried at her local church cemetery. Any funds raised will go toward her burial costs, hospice care, and, if possible, provide some support for Martin as he navigates this heartbreaking time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who can help, whether through a donation or by sharing Patty’s story.
Our hearts are heavy as we share the news of Patty's passing on 1-13-26. She brought so much joy and laughter into our lives. she is now singing and dancing with angels and no loner in pain or suffering. Her strength and determination as well as her knowing that she was right with our father in heaven has made this transition a beautiful one. We'll miss her greatly as I know all of you will. Thank you and god bless all of you.
