Our beloved friend and colleague Patty Clifford has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. We have started this GoFundMe page in order to help support her through her fight against this disease and its effects on her life.

Many of us look to Patty as a mother figure, a sister, an aunt, a confidant and a best friend. She is a beautiful person of integrity & love. She is someone you can trust with your worries, your stresses and your successes and know that someone is truly listening to you. Patty is a dedicated, hard working woman who has raised a phenomenal daughter. She has a sly smile and a beautiful laugh that belie her wonderful sense of humor. Even when she doesn’t say much, you know she is listening and thinking about how to be the best friend she can be for you. Patty never judges a book by its cover and gives each person she encounters a level of respect as an individual on their own terms.

Patty found out about her diagnosis a day after she became a grandmother for the second time. Given the nature of her illness and the complications resulting from her initial surgery, many of us were not able to visit her at the hospital. The only time we have seen her recently is a picture taken as she was playing with her new grandson. Fortunately, she has been released from the hospital and is now gathering her strength in preparation for her first round of chemotherapy.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 for Patty’s well being and support. As she will most likely not be able to work during her treatment, she will need as much help as we can muster. Any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated and gratefully used. We thank you so much for your consideration of our friend in her time of need.
